New Year Changes
January 2, 2009 10:55 am UncategorizedI hope that each of you had a Happy New Years day and look forward to a peaceful new year. I certainly look back on the healing and wellness that was mine in 2008. Your support and words of support were important in this result.
I have decided to make some changes in my blog and wanted to share them with you. While it has been healing to write about bipolar it is time to break out to other topics. Primarily I want to submit my writing for possible comments rather than for my blog to be a personal exchange.
I have found that my writing takes a front seat to other activities that fill my day. I have never had the opportunity to write and I want to get feedback from others. The fact that I had problems in reading as a child means I do not have a clear sense of where to go with my writing. If this is not of interest to you I will understand if you stop reading my posts.
Peace to you all! Annie

I think it’s a great idea to write about other things in your life than bipolar. I sometimes get tired of reading about everyone’s struggles with their illness, when we all know we have much life far beyond the disorder. I find that we limit ourselves when we just talk about one area of our life. I am certain that if we shared about all aspects of our life, we would reach more people.
I am happy for you, and look forward to reading more about YOU!!!

I learned that writing about Bipolar all the time was not conducive to living an enriching, resolving life as I recover from the illness. I had to step back and take a big long break from Bipolar writing until I could get used to not analyzing symptoms all the time and rather write about things that I wanted to write instead. It worked out well. I have both blogs now and keep them for different reasons. I really get what you’re saying, and I wish you all the best in keeping up your writing skills. Good luck. Happy New year!

Annie,
at this point I read more non-mental health blogs than ones that are exclusively mental health…
so I will welcome the change…
I’ve been in this for 2 years…most of the bloggers come and go and the new ones..well…it’s just a lot of the same old thing…so I have cut way back on the mental health stuff, even though it’s still the topic of my blog…
